THANKFULLY NOTHING IS GROWING MUCH IN THIS DROUGHT. WHAT A LOVELY SERVICE
LAST NIGHT WITH DR BOB AS OUR SPECIAL GUEST CELEBRATING REVD MARK’S 50th
BIRTHDAY. REVD MARK & LIZ ARE ON THEIR HONEYMOON FROM TODAY IN CYPRUS, BUT
STILL HAS MANAGED TO PROVIDE US WITH A DAILY DEVOTIONAL – BLESS HIM!
Morning all…Have you ever noticed how quickly weeds grow when left alone? You can
spend hours tidying the garden, pulling them up one by one, but within days, they’re back – stronger
and more stubborn than ever. The truth is that neglect invites chaos. It’s the same in our spiritual
lives. If we don’t tend the soil of our hearts, weeds like resentment, worry, pride, or discouragement
will creep in before we know it. That’s why Proverbs 4:23 says, “Above all else, guard your heart, for
everything you do flows from it.” Just like a garden needs regular attention, so does our walk with
God. It doesn’t have to be extravagant, just consistent. A moment in His Word, a whispered prayer,
a worship song in the car, these are seeds sown into good soil. Don’t let the weeds take root. Guard
your heart today and let the gardener of your soul cultivate something beautiful.

IN OUR FAST-PACED WORLD, IT’S EASY TO EQUATE A PACKED SCHEDULE WITH A
PRODUCTIVE LIFE. BUT AS TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL REMINDS US, TRUE FRUITFULNESS
ISN’T FOUND IN BUSYNESSS – IT’S FOUND IN BEING ROOTED IN GOD’S PRESENCE. LET
THIS BE A GENTLE ENCOURAGEMENT TO PAUSE, BREATHE, AND RESET YOUR FOCUS
FOR THE DAY AHEAD.
Morning all, sometimes we confuse being busy with being fruitful. We run from one task
to the next, check off lists, respond to emails, do the shopping, and collapse into bed – exhausted
but strangely unfulfilled. Jesus experienced busy too, crowds followed Him everywhere. But He
never rushed. He never allowed the pace of life to steal His peace or purpose. In Mark 1:35, it says, “very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” Before the day began, He prioritised connection with His Father. That’s the real fuel for fruitfulness. So today, take a moment before the noise begins. Find a quiet space, even for five minutes, and let God re-centre you. Peace doesn’t come from finishing your to-do list. It comes from knowing who walks with you through it all.
Forgiveness is one of the most challenging commands Jesus gave His followers. In a world where retaliation feels justified and holding grudges is often seen as strength, the idea of loving our enemies can feel impossible. Yet, it is precisely in those moments of pain and betrayal that the power of the Gospel shines brightest. Revd Mark’s Devotional invites you to take a closer look at what it means to love like Jesus—to bless, pray for, and forgive those who have wronged you. It’s not easy. But it’s transformational. As you reflect on these words, may your heart be open to the freedom that comes through radical grace.
Morning all… How do you respond when someone wrongs you? The human instinct is to bite back, defend ourselves, or seek justice. But that’s not what Jesus taught. In fact, in Luke 6:27-28 He says, “Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.” That’s radical love, the kind that only makes sense in the Kingdom of God. And yes, it’s hard. But it’s also powerful. When we choose to forgive, when we pray for the person who hurt us, something shifts, not just in them, but in us. The grip of bitterness loosens. Our heart softens. And the enemy loses his foothold. Maybe there’s someone you need to forgive today. Ask God for the strength to love like He does, not because they deserve it, but because He gave it to you first.
MORNING EVERYONE. TOSAY’S DEVOTIONAL IS A SIMPLE REMINDER NOT TO FORGET GOD’S GOODNESS, EVEN WHEN LIFE GETS A BIT HECTIC.
Morning all… It’s amazing how quickly we forget things. You walk into a room and can’t remember why. You put something down and it vanishes. And if we’re not careful, we forget the goodness of God just as easily. Life gets busy, trials come, and suddenly we forget how far He’s brought us. That’s why Psalm 103:2 says, “Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits.” God knows we’re prone to forgetfulness, so He gently reminds us to pause and remember. Remember the answered prayers, the quiet mercies, the strength in your weakness. Today, take five minutes and write down five things God has done for you – big or small. Then thank Him. Gratitude is a powerful way to anchor your heart in the faithfulness of God. Forget not His benefits, they’re new every morning.
