On Sunday Pelynt Parish Church held its annual Plough Sunday Service at West Wayland Farm. Over 60 people gathered along with the Pelynt Choir. The Trelawny Rev, Richard Allen blessed the plough, seeds, soil and animals praying that this year our farmers would be blessed with a good harvest. He explained how global warming is effecting Cornish farmers and how we all have a part to play in looking after our planet which God has entrusted to us. After concluding the service with a rapturous rendition of Cornwall My Home everyone enjoyed a glass of Cornish cider and a good old chat as the farming community enjoy when they come together.
