Baptisms

All of our churches are available for baptismal services. We offer the opportunity for parents to have their children baptised in the normal Sunday service held at the church or a mutually convenient time on normally either a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.

During the christening your child will be baptised. It’s the first step of an amazing journey with God, parents, godparents, friends, family and the church! You don’t have to have been baptised yourself and you don’t have to have been a regular church goer.

Baptism is a sign that your child belongs to God but it’s the beginning of so much more.

Over the years to come it’s a journey you`ll share together with your child by being there for your child to talk about the bigger questions of life – questions about hope, faith and love.

Praying for your child through the ups and downs of their faith journey.

Showing them practically how to make these good choices in life.

Helping them to learn more about their Christian faith, through their church and in other ways.

So it’s a commitment to start as you mean to go on.

Having wonderful coastal locations provides a natural place to baptise those who have made a decision for themselves for Christ. Lanreath Parish Church held a service of adult baptism at Millendreath beach this summer. Jenny gave a wonderful testimony as to how she had found faith in Jesus Christ and how Jesus walks and talks with her on a daily basis.

We look forward with expectancy to many more services and opportunities like this.
