ansallos celebrated their Annual Harvest of the Sea Celebration. Around a 100 people gathered. The Polperro Fishermen’s choir provided wonderful musical accompliment. The congregation were reminded of the Penlee Lifeboat disaster as the choir sang of the Solomon Browne and Trevallyan Richards the famous Cornish coxain who gave his life along with his crew trying to save the lives of the stricken crew on tghe Union Star back in 1983. Bishop Hugh shared a moving talk on the sea and how we see God in many aspects of the sea. The Trelawny Rector, Richard Allen led the servie and shared how his wife Harriet had found faith for herself at a Harvest of the Sea in St Ives at Fore Street Primative Methodist Church when well know lifeboat man and school master Harold Stevens preached. It was a proper Cornish celebration rounded off by many a yarn over a pasty supper.
